Exit transition only working on certain links

I have a default exit transition that works fine when clicking links in the main top nav. Other links to the same pages don't trigger the animation.

Click The Architect nav item at the top of the page. The page should fade out then fade in.

Go back to the homepage, scroll to the panel The Architect and click. That click doesn't trigger the exit animation.

It's set to All Links.

Any ideas?

Apologies if the link below returns a 404. The NGROK Local provides seems pretty random as to how long it stays alive.
